Carrollton volunteer firefighters and EMTs responded immediately to a motor vehicle collision Friday, 9 March, 2012, at the intersection of Titus Creek Drive and Smith's Neck Road. The initial dispatch at 1141 reported two vehicles involved including children in one of the cars.

Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched 1720 Friday 17 February 2012 to a reported motor vehicle collision at the Laurelwood intersection on Route-17 as "vehicle flipped...driver inside...car is smoking." Carrollton units Squad-10, Rescue-10, Car-10 and Engine-10 responded.

Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched 1856 Sunday 12 February 2012 "automatic aid" to a reported house fire on Scotts Factory Road in the Smithfield VFD first-response district. 911 calls described smoke and flames coming from the rear of the structure.

Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched 0937 Tuesday 7 February 2012 to a reported "flipped oil truck" on Benn's Church Blvd. near Tan Road, Isle of Wight County, Virginia.
Carrollton VFD units Chief-10, Rescue-10 and Squad-10 responded initially with subsequent responses by Tanker-10 and Medic-11. Various 911 callers at the scene reported the driver had extricated himself and fuel was leaking onto the roadway. Carrollton Fire Chief Joel Acree arrived on scene first, assumed incident command, confirmed initial reports, requested air ambulance be placed on standby and asked that Chuckatuck VFD also respond "mutual aid" with Engine-9 and Tanker-9. R-10A.

CVFD responds to three concurrent Advanced Life Support (ALS) Calls           01 February 2012

On Wednesday, 1 February 2012, Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department answered three almost simultaneous Advance Life Support calls within its' first response district. At 0946 Squad-10 and Chief-10 responded to a local supermarket for an unresponsive patient. First ALS unit arrived on scene within four minutes and transport of the patient to the nearest ER began at 1015. At 1020 Carrollton VFD received a "second call" for an ALS patient in a nearby subdivision and Medic-11, Rescue-10 and Chief-10 responded. While the M-11 ALS crew was preparing this patient for transport, a "third call" was received at 1049 dispatching Carrollton VFD for an "obstetrics" patient at a local medical center. Rescue-10 and Chief-10 cleared from the second call to respond as Medic-11 began patient transport from the second scene. With both Carrollton VFD ambulances committed, Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad was requested to respond "automatic aid" to this third ALS call. R-10 and Chief-10 arrived on scene at 1054 to provide first response ALS care followed within a few minutes by the transport ambulance from IWVRS. Both Carrollton units cleared from this scene at 1106 as patient care was transferred to IWVRS ALS crew.
