On June 6th at 2006 hrs Station 10 was toned out with Station 50 (Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department) to respond to the Isle of Wight Courthouse for a structure fire with smoke showing. Quint 10 and Car 10 responded with Car 10 arriving on scene first to assist Station 50 followed by Quint 10. Crews were already inside of the structure and quickly secured the power to the outlet that caused the fire. There were no extensions and Quint 10 and Car 10 returned to quarters after being released by Station 50. The cleaning crew was in the building cleaning after hours and saw the smoke and quickly contacted the 911 center to report the incident. |
