On May 29th (day burn) & April 1st (night burn) Station 10 assisted with the Isle of Wight County Regional Fire Academy Firefighter I/II burns at the IOW/Franklin Fire Training Center. Other departments included Sta. 20 (Carrsville), Sta. 30 (Rushmere), Sta. 50 (Smithfield), Sta. 60 (IOW Rescue), Suffolk Sta. 9 (Chuckatuck) & Surry Fire & Rescue. The county fully funded this training course as well as an EMT-Basic and an EMT-Enhanced course. Over 50 members representing various agencies from IOW, Suffolk and Surry participated in these educational courses. |
