And they “Walked Away!!!” On May 19th at 0453 hours, Station 10 was dispatched to an MVC involving a motorcycle vs a tree at Nike Park Rd. and Reynolds Dr. R-10A & S-10 A arrived at 0502 hours to find a motorcycle with heavy damage and large tree with a large area of bark removed. A search for the rider began utilizing a thermal imager and R-10's light tower as well as a foot search. Deputies on scene advised that the rider had been found in the town of Smithfield as he had gone to get a pickup truck and a friend to retrieve the damaged motorcycle. When the rider returned S-10A’s crew evaluated him to find the rider had no injuries! All units returned at 0520 hours.
