| At 2152 hours on September 13th, while returning home from Station 10, CVFD unit 149 C Chapin witnessed a pick up truck drive through the intersection of Carrollton Blvd and Brewers Neck Blvd and hit a tree head on at a high rate of speed. Station 10 was requested to respond. Squad 10 and Rescue 10A responded with 4 technicians and 2 Fire Fighters. 149 established command and advised a single occupant pinned with obvious trauma noted. Units arrivd at 2254, 103 A C Brower coordinated the stabliziation and extrication utilizing the TNT tools off Rescue 10. The patient was extricated at 2205 hours and transferred to Squad 10A to be transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center. Total time from dispatch to the Emergency Room was a remarkable 29 minutes. |
