2011 March of Dimes
Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department escorted WAVY TV-10's Keri Fury, Eagle-97's Jimmy Ray and House of Delegates' Representative Chris Jones along Carrollton Blvd. today Friday 29 April 2011 from the James River Bridge to the Crittenden Bridge. Carrollton units Chief-10, Engine-10, Rescue-10, Quint-10, Medic-11, Zone-10 and Zone-11 joined the marchers at 6 a.m. at the JRB and followed them as they walked thru Carrollton. During the march, Medic-11 and Rescue-10 responded to a 10-50PI near Whippingham Pkwy, administered patient care, protected the scene, cleared and returned to join the other units before the end of the march. As the marchers reached the Isle of Wight County line, the three celebrities were given CVFD t-shirts and autographed a CVFD t-shirt now on display in our trophy cabinet at the station
