This Afternoon at 2:02 pm The Carrollton Vol. Fire dept. was dispatched to a brush fire in the woods in the area of Longview Circle. While Enroute the location changed to an area well off the road on Longview Drive prompting additional resources from Smithfield VFD and City of Suffolk Fire Dept. Brush 50 arrived first to find a fast-moving brush fire. 101 (C Nunez) arrived and established command. The fire was quickly contained to 1 acre. The cause of the fire was from a gender reveal not going as planned, sparking the fire. Congratulations on your Baby Boy!
