At 5:00 this evening, Carrollton VFD was dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident, southbound on the James River Bridge. Squad 10, Ladder 10, Medic 11, and Medic 10 responded. Crews arrived to find several vehicles with significant damage, with multiple injuries. Due to the severity of the accident, both northbound and southbound lanes were closed to support operations. Crews quickly assessed three patients, who were transported to a local emergency room.

Carrollton VFD cleared the scene while law enforcement continued their investigation.
