The Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department is now seeking qualified applicants to be apart of our Live-In Program.
The Live-In Program is perfect for those attending Christopher Newport University, Hampton University, Old Dominion University, Norfolk State University, Regent University, Virginia Wesleyan University, Thomas Nelson Community College, and Tidewater Community College.
Live-in members are provided access to free Wi-Fi and cable television, as well as access to washers and dryers and an industrial sized kitchen. Additionally, members are issued uniforms, receive state-of-the-art protective equipment, and benefit from participating in regular training opportunities.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to join our department and become a member of our Live-in Program. A fire and EMS department steeped in tradition with a rich history and heritage that is both progressive and aggressive, we operate a 75’ quint, rescue engine, engine, tractor-drawn tanker, two ALS medic units, brush unit and several quick response vehicles. We are Dedicated to Making a Difference!
You do not need to be a Carrollton or Isle Of Wight County Resident to participate in our Live-In Program. We have had Firefighters and EMTs come from all over the state of Virginia and surrounding areas to join and experience what it’s like to become a Carrollton Volunteer.
